My Bio

I currently serve as the Digital Media Specialist at the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). There, I manage and create content for the organization’s social media channels as well as work with many of AILA’s 16,000+ members on social media best practices. I also provide volunteer communications support to the Nonprofit Professional Employees Union, also known as IFPTE Local 70.

I graduated from American University in May 2019 with an M.A. in Journalism and Digital Storytelling.

Prior to joining AILA, I worked at the Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC) first as the Publications and Social Media Coordinator then as the Communications Program Manager. I also worked as a Program Assistant at the Catholic Mobilizing Network.

I graduated with an undergraduate degree from Lubbock Christian University in the spring of 2019. There, I majored in Humanities with a Pre-Law Emphasis. I also ran on the university’s NCAA Division II cross country and track teams.

For the better part of my life, I was a resident of multiple small towns in West Texas. Now, I live in Washington, D.C., with my Australian shepherd, Maverick.
